چکیده

Radial head fractures are common in adults. The radial acts as an important stabilizer of the radius, especially during forearm pronation and supination. Surgical treatment Mason type III fracture includes excision, replacement open reduction internal fixation. For patients treated with radius might migrate proximally, causing complications such chronic pain at wrist, forearm, elbow. On other hand, arthroplasty is associated a high revision removal rate. Hence, openreduction fixation preferred when feasible. This technically demanding due to severe displacement fragments limited surgical space. Mr K, 30-year-old manual worker sustained closed right after alleged fall. was displaced anteriorly. Intra-operatively, headpieces were retrieved reconstructed extracorporeal fixed miniplate. patient subsequently recovered good function. new technique reconstruction offers viable option surgeon similar, or even better, outcomes terms elbow

This case report describes the first patient with avascular necrosis of the femoral head of Association Research Circulation Osseous stage IV, treated with radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy. By contrast, previous studies demonstrated the efficacy of a single treatment of focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy in improving pain and Harris Hip Scale in patients with avascular necrosis o...

Long-term Outcomes after Primary Radial Head Resection Arthroplasty vs. Acute Radial Head Resection vs. Secondary Prosthetic Removal in Comminuted Radial Head Fractures

Background: Aim of this study was to compare the clinical and radiological long-term outcomes following operativetreatment of comminuted radial head fractures using 1) primary radial head resection arthroplasty, 2) acute radial headresection, or 3) necessary secondary prosthetic removal. Additionally, we evaluated complex radial head fracturescombined with elbow dislocation and verified the hyp...

The Best Option in Treatment of Modified Mason Type III Radial Head Fractures: Open Reduction and Internal Fixation Versus Radial Head Excision

Background: Radial head fractures commonly occur during elbow traumas. Among those, treatment of Mason type IIIfractures is still under controversy. Common treatment methods for these fractures include open reduction and internalfixation (ORIF) as well as radial head excision. In this study, we compared long-term outcomes of both methods intreatment of patients with Mason type III fractures of ...

Comminuted fractures of the radial head treated by the Judet floating radial head prosthesis.

Excision is not a suitable treatment for all comminuted fractures of the radial head. In elbows where instability can be predicted, a replacement arthroplasty of the radial head is more effective. The aim of this paper was to present the medium-term results of the Judet floating radial head prosthesis. This operation was performed on 14 patients between 1992 and 2003, of whom 12 were reviewed a...
